I don't think anyone's acting like that.

It goes on at Man City to the point that they provide ponces to folk to keep them dry.

Be nice to see our board do something the similar, they won't though as they give no fucks about the paying visitors.

What am I supposed to be ignoring? It rained heavily, people in the front of the lower tiers got wet, much like at most stadiums. While that's not great it's pretty much an unfortunate occupational hazard for going to watch outdoor sport in this country.

People are acting on this thread like no-one's ever been rained on at a stadium before last night. Did everyone fuck off into the concourse at Upton Park when it rained heavily and they got wet? Can't say I ever noticed. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't.

Certainly no-one bothered coming on here to moan about it.

Yeah comma... also can you imagine a world made out of cheese as well.... or perhaps us signing a silverback Gorilla to play in goal....

Could you imagine how easy it would be to get away from the Boleyn ground if the capacity had been upped to our OS gate?

Re: Karren Brady
I left at the final whistle and managed to get on a train at 10:42 from Stratford out to Ingatestone. Its shit having to take that long but it is what it is, Upton Park was not exactly a joy to get away from. People will always leave early sadly, especially on a Monday night game in the rain when we are 2-0 up.

I left on 85 last night, beat the stop&go mob, so it was fine, no probs.

TBH I don't think I have ever left the stadium and gone straight home, so I have no idea how bad it is.

Re: Karren Brady
With ten minutes to go both the BBC and the commentary on the stream I was watching were saying 'expect the stadium to half empty now because getting away from here is awful'

The stream made some comment like 'I guess the owners use their helicopter so they don't realise' or something! Followed by 'don't expect the home support to be lifting the team for a law goal
Much this season, I doubt many of them want to still be waiting for a train home at midnight'

It's not just us who think our ground is a joke!

Re: Karren Brady
Scorchio, I think rain that cause the front 8 or so rows of the largest stand in the ground to pretty much vanish for the last 15 mins of the second half is worthy of comment.

You can't just ignore things and hope they go away you know.

I called that last year and it showed in some of Huddersfield's misplaced passing, which was similar to our misplaced passes last term.

It'll fuck up your view on the ground as you see more green than you should at eye level.

Re: Karren Brady
MDE, then why did you say it was coming in at an angle?

Bellend

Scorch, yes it did but Brady was touting this as the biggest world class roof, that would keep the rain off the paying punters

Jim79 12:49 Tue Sep 12
Re: Karren Brady
once the rain had subsided pretty much everyone had returned to their seats from my view opposite in the West Stand. No doubt the party decks were busy earlier than usual.

No-one EVER got rained on at Upton Park.....

Some things about the new place are worth complaining about- this isn't.

I doubt even she is responsible for the rain coming in at that speed and angle. That could have a happened at any ground.
